We collect the following information to provide and improve our services:

• Account Information: Phone number, display name, date of birth, gender, and interests provided during registration.
• Profile Information: Bio and photos you choose to share.
• Location Data: Your device's GPS coordinates while the App is in use, to discover nearby users. Location is only collected when you grant permission.
• Messages: Anonymous messages and chat conversations between connected users.
• Usage Data: App interactions, crash reports, and analytics to improve performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To show you other users nearby
• To facilitate messaging and connections
• To manage your account and subscription
• To improve the App's features and performance
• To ensure safety and enforce our Terms of Use

3. Location Data

NearO requires location access to function. Your location is used solely to discover nearby users and is updated only while the App is actively in use. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, though this will limit App functionality.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Other Users: Your display name, bio, photos, and approximate proximity are visible to nearby users.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services (Supabase for data storage, RevenueCat for subscription management, Firebase for analytics and notifications) that process data on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase with row-level security policies to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, messages, and location data are permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Revoke location permission at any time

8. Children's Privacy

NearO is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Subscriptions

If you subscribe to NearO Premium ($9.99/week, auto-renewable), your payment is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status information from RevenueCat but do not have access to your payment details.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by other means.
